About The Owner

I hold that the more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to protection by man from the cruelty of man.

-Mahatma Gandhi-

My name is Ashlie Shay, I have been professionally caring for pets since 2005 but my love and passion for all animals began when I was extremely young. Luckily for me, I was fortunate enough to be raised around all different types of animals. When I was young, I spent my breaks away from school visiting my Grandparents' farm, I would literally spend all day outside with their horses, dogs, chickens, pigeons, ducks, geese, peacocks...you name it! The days just seemed to fly by while I was spending time with the animals.

Aside from my Grandparents' home, I of course had pets of my own. I don't think there was ever a moment in my life when I did not have a pet. And, I'm pretty sure that I drove my parents crazy with all of the stray animals that I would bring home. I was constantly rescuing animals while growing up and have found that this, along with my passion for animals has carried in to my adult life.

I currently volunteer for an organization called Pints For Pitties (a non-profit that educates and advocates for Pit Bulls and other "Bully" type breeds). And, I'm also a 'Foster Momma' to a cat named Duskie through Kitty Devore Rescue.

My pet family consists of Torque(my Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog), Chassis(my rescued Pit Bull), Ezekiel(my rescued Pit Bull/Mastiff). And, my cats: Flo, Smokie, Onyx, & Punkin, whom are all rescues.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this and get to know me a bit. I look forward to meeting you and your pet-family!
